This week Marc and Jeremy announce that the Call for Entries for OFFâ09 is officially open. They also talk randomly about film and film festivals and announce the line-up for Benson Days which will be Saturday, June 14th. The OFF will hold feature film screenings from 10:00am until 6:00pm in the Benson Community Center at 60th & Maple.

In our first remote interview, Marc talks to Rocco DeVilliers, writer/director of the film âThe Flyboysâ? during the closing night party of the 2008 Omaha Film Festival after he won the Jury Prize and Audience Choice Awards. It was a very large and very loud party, so we found the quietest place we could to do the interview. Iâll let you figure out where we decided to do it.

OTE008-Jason Levering

This week Marc and Jeremy have a very special in studio guest. OFF Director number 3 (better known as Jason Levering) grace them with his presence. Various topics are discussed such as their recent experience at the Blue Man Group show. Great show, viewed from the second row and we got backstage passes too. (Merry Christmas from Jeremy)

Also discussed is the Kansas International Film Festival. Weâve visited their festival for the last two years and have had great experiences there. Highly recommended for filmmakers and filmgoers alike.

Hmmmâperhaps). They discuss all things filmmaking and delve into the world of horror films.

Marc and Jeremy sit down with Mark Booker, writer/director of the film "Imitation Life" which will premiere at the Omaha Film Festival on Wednesday, February 20th at 8:30pm at the Westwood Cinema 8. They discuss the filmmaking process, from coming up with the original concept, writing the screenplay, getting financing, pre-production, principal photography, and post production.

Also discussed is the screening of Mike Machianâs documentary âWake Up Filmmakerâ? which goes on the set of âImitation Lifeâ? and gives the viewer a look into the making of an independent film.

Mark is also one of the actors in Dan Iskeâs feature horror film âThe Wretchedâ? which will be screening Friday, February 22nd at 9:00pm and Saturday, February 23rd at 9:30pm in the OFF the EDGE category and in Max Mentzerâs short film âRock Saladâ? which will be screening on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00pm and again on Saturday, February 23rd at 5:00pm in the Nebraska short film blocks.

Marc sits down with Derek Baker, writer/producer of the film "Ulterior Motives" which will premiere at the Omaha Film Festival on Thursday, February 21st at 8:30pm at the Westwood Cinema 8.
